Today we started out at the breakfast buffet in our hotel, Mia's waffle looked much more akin to dessert than breakfast, but hey, we are on vacation. I actually even thought of bringing the camera to breakfast but thought I was being too zealous. New rule--Camera g
oes everywhere. With this crew, there will always be a photo op. Then it was off to I-40 west and on to Memphis. (Not before walking the cat and after unsuccessfully trying to get her to use the bathroom--at this point it had now been at least 12 hours, we medicated her...nite nite Phoebe). Just outside Brownsville we decided to go look for a couple of spots Brandon had once visited. Ho-Ho's chinese restaurant and Curlys BBQ. Did not locate either of those but we did score big and found Tah-Da... WAL-MART. I got a new camera cable and lunchables. Now back to I-40. Once in Memphis we went to Mud Island to unwind. We wound d
own a 1/2 mile long scale model of the lower Mississippi. With the cat in her crate. We got some funny looks, but we're used to that. Then we played on the banks of the Mississippi, (t
he real one). The wall in the pictures above is a sheer drop right into the river, --Just kidding Marcia! No, seriously wow, it's a BIG river. Then from there it was on to Aunt Fran's house which is very restful and peaceful. We had a wonderful dinner and visited and were very blessed by her kind and legendary hospitality. See the picture of the street named after her. That is if I can get it on here. Sorry about all the convoluted pictures, I'm learning. Well, its bedtime again and I am sitting here typing away while my great aunt and zonked husband snooze away in this cozy living room that surrounds me. We are on to Oklahoma City tomarrow. Sleep tight and God Bless.
